Mental health of the multidisciplinary team of the Psychosocial Care Center during coping with work-related crises

Abstract

To analyze the characteristics of crises that can occur with the multidisciplinary team that works at the Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS) and how much this can affect the mental health and daily work activities of these professionals. This is a theoretical and reflective essay with descriptive characteristics, proposed after the observation of dynamics in the practices of mental health services. The reflection was based on the results of searches in Brazilian legislation governing mental health care, articles from journals specializing in health sciences in general, mental health, psychiatry and public health, as well as books in the areas described and authors, considered specialists. with extensive theoretical and scientific production. Professionals become vulnerable to unresolved stressful events in the workplace, so mental illness is a possibility when managers and society do not realize the workers' needs, ignoring their complaints and notes. In situations where a member of the multidisciplinary team demonstrates negative attitudes and behaviors, it is likely affecting other colleagues, creating a harmful and toxic environment for the team and hindering the work process for the recovery of the patient and family. More studies and research in this area are still needed, as few articles have emphasized the mental health of the CAPS team, little is written about the suffering of professionals working in mental health units. There is little appreciation of this topic, it is implicit that health workers do not get sick, nor do they have needs, just assist the patient in distress.

Solange Cristina Denzin Rosa , Centro de Atenção Psicossocial - CAPS / AD

Master in Nursing from Guarulhos University (2006). Bachelor of Nursing from the University Center Herminio Ometto de Araras (1985). She currently works as a Nurse at the Psychosocial Care Center CAPS / AD, Municipal Health Secretary of Araras and as a Professor at ETEC linked to the Paula Souza Center, in the Nursing Technical Course. Areas of interest and experience: Mental Health, Systematization of Nursing Care, and Family Health Strategy.

Maria José dos Reis, Universidade Estadual de Campinas

Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2014). Master in Clinical Medicine from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2008). Bachelor of Nursing from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas PUC-Campinas (1990). She is currently a nurse at the State University of Campinas-UNICAMP. She has experience in nursing, with emphasis on Nursing Oncology / Gynecology, acting on the following subjects: sexual violence, women's health, nursing care, nursing diagnosis, and universal precaution.

Maria Neyrian de Fátima Fernandes, Universidade Federal do Maranhão

Adjunct Professor of the Nursing Department at the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA). Nurse. Ph.D. from the Psychiatric Nursing Program at the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing (EERP-USP) with a sandwich doctoral internship at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle and an internship at the World Health Organization based in Washington DC in the United States. Master in Nursing from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), a specialist in the Training Course for Researchers on Alcohol and other Drugs from the University of São Paulo, specialist in Occupational Nursing from the Potiguar University, graduated in Nursing from UFRN. During her graduation, she developed research in the clinical area as a scientific initiation student. She has experience in primary care working in indigenous areas, teaching Public Health and Mental Health in Nursing and academic management.

Mônica Chaves, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais

Master in Nursing from the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (2004). Bachelor of Nursing from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais PUC/MG (1997). Specialist in Occupational Nursing and in Nursing Care for Skin Lesions Carriers by the Continuing Education Institute of PUC-Minas. Specialist in Forensic Nursing by the Keynes Institute. She is currently a Professor at the Department of Nursing at PUC Minas. Currently, she is the coordinator of the Nursing Technical Board of Forensic Coren-MG. She is a collaborator at the Ethical Process Unit at Coren-MG. Area of concentration: Forensic Nursing, Violence, Legislation, and Ethics.

Rafael Braga Esteves, Universidade de São Paulo

Ph.D. in Sciences (Direct Doctorate) by the Graduate Program in Psychiatric Nursing at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing, University of São Paulo (2020). During this period, he was a CAPES doctoral fellow in Brazil and a fellow of the Sandwich Doctorate Program Abroad, PDSE / CAPES, for an international internship at the University of Alberta, Canada (2019). Specialist in Forensic Nursing, the title conferred by the Brazilian Society in Forensic Nursing (2019). Specialist in Health Services Evaluation, the title conferred by the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre and Open University of the Unified Health System (2015). Bachelor and Licentiate in Nursing from the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto, USP (2013), during his undergraduate studies he did an exchange at the University of Alberta, Canada through the Academic Merit Scholarship - USP (2013). He completed the Sexual Assault Nurse Examine - SANE (2019) course. The researcher has already developed and participated in research and university extension projects and collaborated in scientific events related to Forensic Nursing. Founding member of the Brazilian Society of Forensic Nursing. E, Member of the Academy of Forensic Nursing. He is currently a collaborating member of the Academic League of Forensic Nursing at the Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing, USP. He is Technical Support for Research at the same Educational Institution through the Level 3 Technical Training Training Program, sponsored by the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation-FAPESP.
