One of the attributions of the Community Health Agent is the responsibility for the process of health education in the homes of patients assisted, however, the use of enteral nutrition has proved to be a challenge for de-hospitalization of patients due to the difficulty of understanding by caregivers. The objective of this scope review is to map the literature on the role of Community Health Agent with patients using home enteral nutrition. The PCC method was used to develop the guiding question and PRISMA writing and review. This review included original articles published in Portuguese, English and Spanish, which were available in full and in the following data sources: Portal Regional da BVS, LILACS, Scopus, Sciencedirect and PubMed, which addressed the chosen theme. 04 studies were found that addressed the chosen theme. It is possible to observe the increase of patients using home enteral nutrition. The findings show the need for continuing education for health professionals in primary care, especially community workers in the context of enteral nutrition due to gaps in their training process and in the understanding of the functions that should be performed with the families of patients dependent on this route in the community. The Community Health Agent should be trained to be a support to family caregivers in the context of good practices of handling and administration of enteral diet.
