Ceramics are currently the most used dental materials for Oral Rehabilitation treatment. In search of further explain and evidence of success and longevity, this work aimed to observe the clinical performance of lithium disilicate ceramic restorations. A literature review was carried out, by publications in English, for the last ten years. It was observed through an analysis of this current literature, that there were some failures resulting from the use of indirect restorations with lithium disilicate. However, it was observed that they showed excellent marginal adaptation, surface color and marginal integrity. In addition, in view of the studies presented that dental ceramic itself has an excellent clinical performance and can be used for a five-year survival and the problems reported with this material, showed to be influenced mainly by the clinical conditions of the patient and not specifically by the material itself. Therefore, this material is considered an excellent alternative for use in oral rehabilitation in both anterior and posterior regions, being presented with a good clinical, functional and aesthetic performance.
