Leadership in the Age of Information and Knowledge in companies

This article aims to know how it is exercised leadership in the information age and knowledge in two companies in the city of Valencia, State of Rio de Janeiro. It was verified how leaders invest in value, quality of working life and professional training of employees. It was verified also, as is communication and knowledge management. bibliographical and field surveys were conducted. The interview was the focused type, in which, even without obeying a formal structure is using a script composed of open questions, directed to the leader. The results were recorded, transcribed, analyzed and interpreted through content analysis method. The results were positive in the surveyed companies and show that there is an appreciation of its employees and investing in their professional development.
