Profile of secondary infections in hospitalized patients affected by COVID-19: a literature review

Characterized by a trigger by an injury to the alveoli that leads to inflammation and the accumulation of fluid in the lung, secondary infection by Covid-19 is considered by the World Health Organization to be a threat to public health. Clinical presentations range from asymptomatic patients to those with major infections, manifesting through dyspnea, hypoxemia, respiratory failure. In this way, the objective of the study is to evaluate the profile of secondary infections, due to the vulnerability to which the patient is found, using a bibliographical review as a methodology. As a result, there was a high rate of infection in people who have some comorbidity such as obesity, heart or lung problems, of which obesity is present in 66.67%. It is also evident the problems in Brazilian public health that, due to socioeconomic divisions, not everyone has access to proper treatment.
