Resumen

La Internet de los Cuerpos (IoB) representa la convergencia entre tecnologías digitales y dispositivos añadidos al cuerpo de forma externa, interna o implantada, configurando una nueva frontera en la monitorización, diagnóstico e intervenciones sanitarias. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar los fundamentos del IoB, sus aplicaciones actuales y futuras, los riesgos de ciberataques asociados a la privacidad y seguridad de los datos, y los posibles dilemas éticos. El artículo se basa en estudios recientes sobre la implantación de dispositivos corporales en contextos clínicos, de bienestar y de vigilancia biométrica. Los resultados apuntan a la necesidad de un debate bioético más allá de la normativa.
