Manejo de la perforación de la membrana de Schneider en elevación del seno maxilar con L-PRF: reporte de caso

La elevación del piso del seno maxilar es una alternativa para permitir la instalación de implantes en la región posterior del maxilar, en casos de atrofia o hiperneumatización del seno maxilar. Sin embargo, pueden ocurrir complicaciones transquirúrgicas, siendo la perforación de la membrana de Schneider la más común. En la literatura se describen varias maniobras en el manejo de las perforaciones de la membrana sinusal, que permiten la reparación y ejecución del procedimiento de injerto en el mismo momento quirúrgico. Entre las formas de reparación, el uso de membranas de Fibrina Rica en Plaquetas y Leucocitos (L-PRF) se ha presentado como una opción de tratamiento con resultados interesantes y prometedores para lograr la reparación. Este artículo describe un caso clínico en el que se reparó la perforación de la membrana de Schneider con membranas L-PRF y el procedimiento se realizó sin complicaciones postoperatorias, lo que permitió la posterior instalación de implantes y la rehabilitación exitosa.
