Perfil epidemiológico de la violencia interpersonal en Brasil entre 2015 y 2019

Resumen

El objetivo fue determinar la prevalencia de violencia interpersonal entre 2015 y 2019, a partir de notificaciones del Sistema Único de Salud (SUS). Se trata de un estudio ecológico con metadatos del SINAN / DATASUS sobre notificaciones de violencia durante un período de 05 años. Se reportaron un total de 1.534.146 casos de violencia en varias categorías: violencia física; violencia psicológica; negligencia / abandono; violencia sexual; tortura; violencia financiera / económica; trabajo infantil; intervención legal; trata de personas; y otros tipos de violencia. Las principales víctimas de la violencia fueron mujeres (77,55%), blancas (40,40%), con estudios superiores incompletos (13,93%), solteras (38,08%) y heterosexuales (50,15%). La violencia se caracterizó por el sexismo como principal motivación (8,88%), siendo la violencia física la más prevalente (60,78%). En cuanto a los medios de agresión, el golpe de fuerza / cuerpo (42,98%) fue el más utilizado contra la víctima. El perfil mayoritario del agresor fue masculino (54,54%), adulto (45,52%), cónyuge de la víctima (13,61), no alcohólico (43,41%). Estos resultados demuestran la importancia de prevenir la violencia, especialmente en el ámbito del hogar, perpetrada por parejas íntimas, familiares y conocidos de la víctima. El estudio proporciona, hasta la fecha, una de las mayores muestras de violencia interpersonal denunciadas por profesionales de la salud en Brasil.
