Efectos de la falta de sueño en adultos sanos: una revisión sistemática

Resumen

Actualmente, debido al estilo de vida contemporáneo, los individuos han presentado una reducción en el número de horas de sueño diario, esto genera impactos fisiológicos, psicológicos, comportamentales y permanentes en la salud de la población. Nuestro principal objetivo era investigar estas consecuencias en la salud de las personas sanas. Se realizó una revisión sistemática en bases de datos siguiendo el protocolo PRISMA y las directrices del Chrocraine Handbook. Fueron seleccionados 27 artículos que sirvieron como base para ese estudio, en los siguientes ejes: endocrinología, desempeño, neurociencia y alteraciones fisiológicas. Frente a los diversos efectos nocivos encontrados, más estudios dentro de esas áreas deben ser realizados, con análisis más profundos de los efectos de la privación del sueño en la salud de adultos sanos.
