El uso de endodoncia guiada para la extracción de pin de fibra de vidrio: reporte de caso clínico

Resumen

El uso de la guía endodóntica es una técnica mínimamente invasiva, indicada para el tratamiento de conductos calcificados, recuperación del recorrido original del conducto, en casos de desviación y/o perforación, extracción de pin de fibra de vidrio e incluso cirugía endodóntica guiada. El uso de la guía endodóntica actualmente presenta buena previsibilidad, seguridad y rapidez en el tratamiento de casos complejos, en los que estará indicada. La técnica es tan precisa que es independiente del operador y puede ser realizada incluso por profesionales menos expertos. El objetivo de este trabajo fue reportar un caso clínico de retiro de un poste de fibra de vidrio en el elemento 11, por falla en el tratamiento protésico, utilizando una guía endodóntica (endoguide).

Cirujano dentista, especialista e estudante de Maestria em Endodontia da Faculdade de Odontologia da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).

Trabalho na linha de investigação: Inmunopatologia e microbiologia das enfermedades bucodentais. Sua linha de investigação trata principalmente dos seguintes temas: Biocompatibilidade de biomateriais, respostas imunológicas e microbiológicas em tecidos pulpares e periapicais, recubrimiento pulpar, pulpotomía, resposta pulpar e medicação intracanal.
