Evaluación comparativa de distancia recorrida, función pulmonar y calidad de vida tras rehabilitación cardiorrespiratoria con y sin fotobiomodulación transcraneal en individuos con espasticidad – Estudio piloto

Resumen

El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar los efectos de la rehabilitación cardiorrespiratoria (RC) sola y asociada a la fotobiomodulación transcraneal (Ft) sobre la distancia recorrida (DP), la función pulmonar y la calidad de vida en personas con espasticidad. Los participantes se dividieron en dos grupos: grupo de fotobiomodulación transcraneal (GF, RC + Ft activo, n=8) y grupo de placebo (GP, RC + Ft simulado, n=7). El RC consistió en 12 semanas de tratamiento, 2x semana durante 1 hora, incluyendo ejercicios aeróbicos, respiratorios y de resistencia de miembros inferiores. Para Ft se utilizó el cluster láser (λ= 680 nm y 3 láseres a λ= 808 nm, energía total de 36 J/punto) en los puntos F7, F8, AFz. Se evaluaron DP, espirometría, manovacuometría y SF-36 al inicio del estudio y reevaluación a las 8 y 12 semanas. La DP aumentó en 165,43 metros y 222,46 m a las 12 semanas para GF y GP, respectivamente, con diferencias estadísticas intragrupo (p<0,05) y sin diferencia intergrupo (p>0,05). Se observó un aumento en el índice de flujo espiratorio máximo solo en el GF en el análisis basal x12 semanas (p<0,05). El GF mostró un aumento en MIP y MEP en un 20% (8 semanas) y 15% (12 semanas). En el SF-36, se verificó la diferencia con relación a la línea de base, los aspectos físicos y los dominios del dolor para el comportamiento de crecimiento GF y para la disminución de GP. Se concluyó que la DP mejoró en el GF y GP tras la intervención, sin efecto potenciador del rendimiento en el FG y que la fotobiomodulación parece haber influido en la mecánica respiratoria del GF y en los aspectos físicos y dolorosos del SF-36.
