Aplicación de software en salud mental – beneficios y limitaciones: revisión integrativa de la literatura

Resumen

Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), casi 1.000 millones de personas vivían con un trastorno mental en 2019. En este contexto, a pesar del crecimiento en el uso de teléfonos inteligentes y el consiguiente aumento en la oferta de aplicaciones que ofrecen servicios de apoyo y orientación en materia de salud. mental, E-Mental Health, los estudios centrados en la eficacia de estos software son escasos. Por lo tanto, esta revisión integradora buscó identificar los beneficios y las limitaciones con respecto al uso de software aplicado a la salud mental. Para esta revisión bibliográfica exploratoria integradora, se buscaron artículos en las bases de datos de la Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina (PUBMED) y SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), utilizando los descriptores de Ciencias de la Salud - (DeSC) e indexadores - Medical Subject Headings - (MeSH) considerando la palabras clave: salud mental; programas, y sus respectivos términos en inglés: “Mental Health”; “Software”, con los operadores booleanos: “AND” y “OR”. Lo que se concluyó es que, a pesar de la gran cantidad de E-Salud Mental, si bien se ha observado una expansión de software dirigidos a la salud mental, no existe un número significativo de investigaciones y, en consecuencia, de evidencias, respecto a la efectividad de estos programas.
