Evaluación del sueño y riesgo de apnea en personas con Hipertensión Arterial Sistémica usuarias de unidades básicas de salud (UBS)

Resumen

Objetivo: evaluar el sueño, riesgo de apnea y nivel de somnolencia en personas con Hipertensión Arterial Sistémica (HAS) usuarias de UBS. Métodos: investigación clínica, observacional y transversal realizada con 42 personas con HAS. Recopilación de datos: Cuestionario de Perfil del Participante, Índice de Calidad del Sueño de Pittsburgh, Escala de Somnolencia de Epworth y Cuestionario Clínico de Berlín. Resultados y discusión: de los 42 participantes, 24 tenían sueño deficiente (57%) o trastorno (17%), el 67% tenía un alto riesgo de apnea y alrededor del 31% tenía somnolencia excesiva. Al comparar la Calidad del Sueño y la Somnolencia entre géneros, se evidenció una diferencia significativa para el PSQI, con peor sueño para las mujeres (p<.001). Epwoth no mostró diferencia (p=0,808). La comparación entre Calidad del Sueño y Somnolencia entre practicantes y no practicantes de actividad física identificó diferencia solo para el PSQI (p=0,038). Conclusión: la calidad del sueño deficiente o incluso perturbada, el alto riesgo de apnea y la somnolencia diurna excesiva están presentes y deben investigarse más en personas con HSA. El sueño de las mujeres y las personas sedentarias tiene peor calidad.
