La salud mental de niños y adolescentes durante la pandemia COVID-19: una revisión narrativa

El estudio fue una revisión narrativa sobre la salud mental de niños y adolescentes durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos PubMed, BVS y Google Scholar, entre abril y junio de 2020. Los estudios revelaron una mayor angustia psicológica debido al aislamiento social, el aumento de los conflictos familiares y la violencia entre padres e hijos. El cierre de las escuelas, la falta de interacción social, la sensación de incertidumbre y miedo ante la pandemia también contribuyen a la aparición de síntomas de ansiedad y estrés en las familias. Los recursos de Internet y las redes sociales pueden ser buenas herramientas de apoyo psicosocial a las familias durante la cuarentena, posibilitando prácticas terapéuticas, información y contacto entre pares; minimizando los síntomas de estrés, ansiedad y depresión. Las políticas públicas son urgentes y demandan innovación y nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a la atención de la salud mental de las familias.
