Conociendo los impactos de la pandemia COVID-19 en la salud mental de los trabajadores de enfermería

Resumen

Esta revisión integradora tuvo como objetivo conocer la producción científica sobre los impactos de la pandemia COVID-19 en la salud mental de los trabajadores de enfermería. La revisión fue realizada por dos investigadores independientes. Los artículos seleccionados se buscaron en la base de datos PubMed / MEDLINE y, a pesar del uso de MeSH terms, se decidió seleccionar “todos los campos” en el momento de la búsqueda para aumentar el número de artículos encontrados. Se aplicaron filtros para los años 2019 y 2020 y portugués, español e inglés. Inicialmente, se encontraron 528 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron 31 artículos, 17 de los cuales provenían de investigaciones realizadas en China. Los equipos de enfermería están compuestos principalmente por mujeres y en los estudios que trataron con trabajadores de salud, la mayor parte de la muestra estuvo compuesta por profesionales del equipo de enfermería. Varios estudios han encontrado evidencia de que COVID-19 está causando cierto grado de angustia mental en los equipos de atención médica y de enfermería. En este nuevo contexto pandémico, los equipos de enfermería enfrentan situaciones cotidianas que impactan directamente en su salud mental. En este sentido, es fundamental la apropiación del conocimiento científico producido como medio para reconstruir nuevos procesos de trabajo en enfermería y salud.
