Odontologia minimamente invasiva no tratamento da cárie dentária: revisão da literatura

Nos últimos anos, devido ao melhor entendimento da patologia da cárie e avanços nos materiais odontológicos, o uso de técnicas não invasivas e minimamente invasivas que atrasam ou evitam a necessidade de restaurações tradicionais tem ganhado importância. Objetivo: Apresentar uma atualização dos conceitos da odontologia minimamente invasiva no tratamento da cárie dentária. Metodologia: A presente investigação teve uma abordagem baseada em uma revisão literária, permitindo a comparação de estudos de diferentes autores sobre odontologia minimamente invasiva. Conclusão: Atualmente, a odontologia minimamente invasiva tornou-se a filosofia mais comum de tratamento odontológico. A possibilidade da sua inclusão deve-se em grande parte ao advento de novos materiais dentários que aderem à estrutura dentária, métodos mais conservadores para uma estrutura dentária saudável, conseguindo um tratamento com abordagem cirúrgica menos invasiva e remoção mínima de tecido saudável.
