Ceratocisto odontogênico: tratamento com a solução de Carnoy - Revisão de literatura

O Ceratocisto Odontogênico (CO) é uma lesão conhecida por sua alta taxa de recorrência e sua capacidade de infiltração em tecidos locais na região dos maxilares. Objetivo: Analisar a eficácia da solução de Carnoy como terapia coadjuvante para a enucleação do CO, buscando contribuir com informações atualizadas para acadêmicos e profissionais da área. Metodologia: Uma revisão de literatura foi realizada utilizando artigos científicos disponíveis na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e PubMed, publicados entre os anos de 2016 e 2023, que abordam a utilização da solução de Carnoy como tratamento adjuvante para o CO. Discussão: há estudos que indicaram resultados promissores com o uso da solução de Carnoy como terapia adjuvante para o CO em conjunto com a técnica cirúrgica indicada.Conclusão: Esta pesquisa oferece uma visão abrangente do uso da solução de Carnoy como terapia adjuvante no tratamento do ceratocisto odontogênico apontando sua acessibilidade e custo relativamente baixo a tornam uma opção atrativa para cirurgiões bucais em diversas configurações clínicas.
