Uma revisão sistemática sobre as limitações da mudança para o aprendizado virtual em estabelecimentos de ensino superior durante a COVID-19 em países em desenvolvimento

Resumo

O objetivo do presente artigo é apresentar uma revisão de literatura que aborda o paradoxo da transição do ensino presencial para o ensino à distância online durante a pandemia do Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) em Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) em países em desenvolvimento. Os procedimentos metodológicos da revisão sistemática foram empregados para traçar algumas limitações e possíveis oportunidades que podem informar práticas futuras sobre o ensino à distância online. As descobertas revelam várias limitações como desigualdade digital, falta de acesso confiável à internet, baixa prontidão e competência tecnológica entre instrutores e alunos e disponibilidade limitada de soluções digitais. As descobertas também revelam que a maioria dos alunos enfrentou desafios socioemocionais devido à transição rápida e cega para o ensino à distância. Concluiu-se que a maioria das limitações se deveu à falta de cultura digital mesmo antes da pandemia do COVID-19. Recomenda-se que investimentos deliberados sejam feitos para promover a cultura digital e a equidade. Outras áreas possíveis para pesquisa recomendadas neste artigo incluem a exploração da inclusão digital entre grupos marginalizados em países em desenvolvimento.
