El sufrimiento moral entre los estudiantes en el campo de la salud: una revisión integradora

Resumen

Objetivo: identificar la producción científica sobre el sufrimiento moral entre los estudiantes en el campo de la salud. Método: revisión integradora que incluyó artículos originales indexados en las bases de datos Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) y en el portal PUBMED sin restricciones de tiempo e idioma. El análisis de los resultados se realizó de forma descriptiva, en tres categorías analíticas. Resultados: Se seleccionaron 32 artículos publicados en revistas internacionales, el mayor número en la revista Nursing Ethics. En cuanto al nivel de evidencia, 22 estudios cualitativos y descriptivos se encontraban en el estrato de evidencia IV y 10 artículos entre relatos de experiencias y artículos de reflexión a nivel de evidencia V. Luego del análisis, se elaboraron tres categorías temáticas: Sufrimiento moral en el ámbito formativo de área de la salud; Afrontando Sufrimiento moral: posibles repercusiones; Formación académica: orientaciones futuras para afrontar Sufrimiento moral. Conclusión: los artículos retratan que el sufrimiento moral ocurre a lo largo de la carrera de los profesionales de la salud, incluso entre los estudiantes. Las situaciones que provocan lo Sufrimiento moral en los estudiantes deben ser afrontadas por todos los cursos de pregrado, con el fin de mantener el bienestar de los estudiantes y asegurar una educación académica de calidad en salud.
