This literature review aims to analyze peripheral neuropathy induced by vincristine in children undergoing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This neuropathy can affect patients' quality of life in the long term, causing symptoms such as pain, tingling, loss of sensation, and muscle weakness. Several factors, such as age, race, medication and molecular and cellular changes, can contribute to the development of this condition. Studies are important to understand the extent of the problem and adopt appropriate preventive and therapeutic measures. Strategies such as monitoring medication levels, neuroprotective agents use, and supportive measures can help manage symptoms and improve patients' quality of life. Advances in pharmacogenomics offer promising prospects for more individualized treatment with fewer adverse effects. Furthermore, CD38-targeted nano therapy and allogeneic stem cell transplantation are innovative approaches that show promising results in ALL treatment.
