Prevalence of dengue in the last decade in the State of Parana, Brazil

Based on a quantitative, descriptive, and retrospective study, data from DATASUS regarding age group, sex, and clinical outcomes of the cases were analyzed. A significant increase in notifications was observed in 2024, with prevalence among individuals aged 20 to 39 years, in addition to a higher incidence among women. The clinical progression shows that most cases resulted in recovery; however, an increasing number of deaths has been recorded in recent years. This research seeks to analyze patient data related to dengue over the past decade in the state of Paraná. The results highlight the need for integrated strategies to control the disease, focusing on preventive actions, health education, and continuous monitoring.
