Between knowledge and care: women's health during menopause in the Kainã village, Munduruku ethnic group

Women's health during menopause is a highly relevant topic, especially among riverside and indigenous populations, who face challenges in accessing information and health services. This paper reports on an outreach activity carried out in the Aldeia Kainã community, in the municipality of Manaquiri-AM, by Fametro College, with the participation of sixth-semester Nursing students. The main objective was to promote care and knowledge about menopause through educational lectures, guided conversations, and screening services. During the activity, preventive actions were carried out, such as rapid tests for transmissible diseases, in addition to the distribution of souvenirs made by the students. The strengthening of the bond between the community and the institution was observed, as well as the expansion of academic and social learning. It is concluded that the activity contributed to women's empowerment and the appreciation of comprehensive care for women.
