Implementation of Advanced Bases of the Air Group of the Military Police of Alagoas (GRAER) in the interior of the State

Violence is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that manifests itself in different ways in society and is commonly incorporated into criminal practices. In this context, the use of aircraft stands out as a relevant instrument in combating crime, since it expands surveillance over vast areas, enables access to hard-to-reach regions and significantly reduces response time in police operations and rescue missions. This study aimed to propose the implementation of five advanced bases of the Air Group of the Military Police of Alagoas (GRAER) in strategic municipalities in the interior of the state. To this end, action research was adopted, articulated with bibliographic review, document analysis and organization of demographic, territorial and criminal data from the state of Alagoas. The results indicated the relevance of installing bases in Maragogi, União dos Palmares, Santana do Ipanema, Delmiro Gouveia and Penedo, considering tourism flow, population density, strategic location, economic relevance and crime indicators. It is concluded that expanding the aerial operational network can strengthen public security and emergency response, provided that minimum conditions of infrastructure, staffing, technical training and logistical feasibility are ensured.
