La enfermedad de Crohn y sus particularidades: una revisión de la literatura

Resumen

La enfermedad de Crohn es una enfermedad inflamatoria del tracto gastrointestinal con una etiología multifactorial. Con base en la severidad de la Enfermedad de Crohn y el efecto que provoca en la calidad de vida de los pacientes, este trabajo tiene como objetivo discutir sus principales aspectos clínicos, envolviendo el diagnóstico y mejor manejo profesional. Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica con recolección de datos a través de una revisión bibliográfica por encuestas secundarias en las bases de datos en línea PUBMED, SCIELO y LILACS. La incidencia de la enfermedad de Crohn (EC) entre mujeres y hombres es similar, variando entre los 15 y los 40 años. Tiene el mayor número de casos en Europa, América del Norte y América del Sur. Existen varias clasificaciones para la Enfermedad de Crohn, por lo que es responsabilidad del profesional de la salud conocerlas, para saber distinguirlas y realizar la correcta prescripción y tratamiento de los medicamentos. Por lo tanto, es imperativo que conozca las principales características, como los síntomas, la etiología y los métodos preventivos.
