Fortalecimiento de Capacidades en la Acción Humanitaria en el Sur Global: Análisis de las necesidades prioritarias de las organizaciones a través de un estudio realizado en la República de Cabo Verde

El artículo tiene como objetivo identificar las necesidades prioritarias de capacitación en relación a las capacidades de respuesta institucional que operan en el ámbito de la acción humanitaria en un país insular. Se utilizó una metodología cualitativa con enfoque descriptivo y exploratorio, utilizando seis entrevistas semiestructuradas a responsables de las instituciones involucradas. Este estudio ofrece un análisis en profundidad de las principales demandas de formación, evaluando las capacidades de respuesta y experiencias de los responsables y líderes de instituciones estatales y municipales y organizaciones de la sociedad civil que actúan con la acción humanitaria, en el contexto caboverdiano. Los resultados identificaron áreas prioritárias como: el ciclo del programa humanitario; áreas de intervención en la Acción Humanitaria; y el impacto del cambio climático en los ecosistemas. Los dados obtenidos apuntan a la necesidad de crear programas de formación de alto nivel que faciliten la adquisición de habilidades técnicas y reflexivas en respuestas humanitarias basadas en el contexto local.
