La evolución de la remanufactura en la Economía Circular: un panorama académico-tecnológico

Resumen

El modelo económico lineal difundido a partir de la evolución industrial ha generado una alerta sobre el gran uso de los recursos naturales, ya que cada vez son más escasos. Luego surge la necesidad de crear un nuevo modelo, la Economía Circular, basado en principios sustentables y que tiene a la remanufactura como una herramienta importante para la extensión de los ciclos de uso de los productos. El concepto incorporado a la remanufactura tiene como objetivo mitigar los impactos de la sobreproducción y el alto consumo a través del desmontaje, limpieza y reparación de piezas dañadas, convirtiendo productos que estaban en proceso de desecho en productos listos para un nuevo uso, con calidad y funcionalidad garantizadas. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo realizar una investigación bibliométrica, dentro de las bases científicas Scopus y Web Of Science, e identificar la evolución de las publicaciones sobre remanufactura en el contexto de la Economía Circular. A través de esta investigación, fue posible evidenciar la evolución del tema en los últimos cinco años, principalmente en los países europeos y China. El número de publicaciones prácticamente se duplicó y es posible observar una tendencia a relacionar las temáticas con áreas de tecnología, como Industria 4.0, Blockchain, Machine Learning, entre otras, que va más allá de la remodelación del diseño del producto solamente.
