To identify the application of devices for orthostatism for people with reduced mobility. This is an integrative review, carried out in August 2021, using the following terms immobility, reduced mobility, orthostatism device, assistive technology, and rehabilitation, conducted in the MEDLINE databases (via PubMed), Embase, SciELO, LILACS, SCOPUS, PEDro and ERIC. Six articles were identified that answered the guiding question. The activities carried out on the tilt table contribute to a safe and effective practice of early mobilization in people with reduced mobility and, if performed according to protocols and exercises, favor the reduction of deconditioning and loss of muscle mass caused by bed rest. Despite the effectiveness of early mobilization, there are still numerous barriers to its implementation. Developing and maintaining a culture of multiprofessionals that promote, value, and prioritize early mobilization is essential to translate evidence into clinical practice.
