Experiência dos pais de prematuros hospitalizados na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal durante a pandemia Covid-19

Objective: To identify in scientific production the experiences of parents about the experiences in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology: Integrative review of the literature conducted in the Virtual Health Library, PubMed, LILACS, and Scopus databases from May to June 2022. The findings were extracted, analyzed and synthesized in a narrative way. Results: A total of 1,096 studies were recovered; of these, 12 were selected for the review. Qualitative studies prevailed, with level of evidence VI. Parents experienced moments of restricted visits to their children, triggering fear, anxiety and stress. Conclusion: Parents of infants hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit during the Covid-19 pandemic experienced moments of stress, fear, anxiety and were predictors for Other emotional problems. It is also noteworthy that during this period of restrictions on the permanence of parents, there were negative impacts on breastfeeding, limitation of social support after discharge, difficulties of interaction with health professionals, care difficulties and physical contact with the baby.
