Effectiveness of the chest compression technique during the assessment of lung function in infants: a systematic review

The rapid chest compression technique is applied to assess the respiratory function of these infants, being used early to diagnose pulmonary alterations. This article aimed to verify the effectiveness of the rapid chest compression technique in the assessment of lung function in infants. This study was prepared through a systematic review, of a quantitative nature, with selection of longitudinal studies, case-control, randomized clinical trial and containing full texts. Searches were carried out in databases in the area of health Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval Sistem Online (Med/PubMed), from which 4 articles in English were subsequently selected, which addressed the effectiveness of the rapid chest compression technique during the assessment of lung function in infants. The results showed that performing the rapid chest compression technique is effective in assessing lung function in infants. Based on the systematic analysis of the selected articles, it was found that most authors agreed that rapid chest compression has positive effects and benefits, as when performed it can detect pulmonary changes early.
