Association of late intermittent and persistent with the use of hyaluronic acid filler

Abstract

Currently, the demand for esthetic treatments has increased due to the search for perfect beauty, and with this, fillers have had more and more frequent users in esthetic clinics. Hyaluronic acid fillers are biocompatible with our bodies, but intercurrences may occur, such as Intermittent and Persistent Tardy Edema (IPTE), which will be discussed in this study. This is an integrative literature review, with data collection, through scientific articles that confer scientific validity to the research. The motivation for this study is to analyze the intercurrences related to the use of hyaluronic acid with persistent intermittent edema, demonstrating the conducts based on scientific methods to treat the intercurrences, identifying the prevention protocols for the intercurrences found. According to the data studied and analyzed, it was possible to conclude that there are ways to treat, prevent and mitigate the possible intercurrences that occur with the use of hyaluronic acid.
