The overall objective of the study was to analyze the social and demographic indicators associated with Colorectal Cancer mortality in the State of Rio de Janeiro between 2015 and 2019. Methodology: This is an ecological study, with 92 municipalities that constitute the State of Rio de Janeiro as observation units. Social and demographic indicators were used in the period from 2015 to 2019 regarding deaths from Colorectal Cancer, with the following variables: age, gender, race, education, and underlying cause. The data were presented through maps, tables and graphs and analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, Chi-square, and Wilcoxon hypothesis tests in the R statistical program. Results: The highest mortality rate calculated for the period was 22.10 per 100,000 inhabitants, recorded in the municipality of Mendes, RJ; ages ranged from 15 to 106 years with a mean of 68.66; the number of deaths of men and women does not depend on race, however, when correlating the causes, the white race is the most affected; both men and women have a dependency relationship with the level of education, being more frequent in people with less education; and the variable age has a dependency relationship with the variable gender. Conclusion: The study indicates that people with low education and white people are more affected by colorectal cancer regardless of sex and age. It is expected that the analysis of this study will contribute to new studies aimed at the early detection of susceptible people in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
