Adversities identified by nurses in the depletion of access for dialysis therapies1

Abstract

The objective that guided the research was to know the difficulties identified by nurses in the exhaustion of access to dialysis therapies. Method: this is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, in which 12 care nurses participated in day, night and day shifts and approved by Plataforma Brasil under the opinion number 4,406,281. Data collection was guided by the semi-structured interview technique. Data analysis was performed based on an emerging category from the revealed content, using Bardin's content analysis technique. Results: research data revealed that nephrologist nurses identify difficulties in the exhaustion of access to dialysis therapies as well as stress to chronic kidney patients. Conclusion: considering that the study was carried out focusing on nurses working in the nephrology sector, it is considered important to develop new studies for the dissemination of knowledge for good practices in care for access to renal replacement therapies.

Daniela de Oliveira Matias, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

Graduated in Nursing and Obstetrics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2004), specialist in Nephrology from the Gama Filho University (2007). Currently, she is a statutory nurse at the Cardoso Fontes Federal Hospital, she works as a lead nurse at the Intensive Care Center and a civil nurse at the Marcílio Dias Naval Hospital, in charge of the Dialysis sector. She has experience in the areas of Adult and Elderly Health and Women's Health with an emphasis on Nursing.

Rafael Abrantes de Lima, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

Graduated in Nursing (2013), Specialist in Intensive Care from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. Specialist in Nephrology by HUPE / UERJ. Graduated in Nursing from Universidade Estácio de Sá (2005), Residency in Clinical-Surgical Nursing: General from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2008) and Postgraduate Lato Sensu in Nursing in Hematology and Hemotherapy from Universidade Estácio de Sá (2008). She is currently a Lieutenant Captain, belonging to the Health Corps of the Brazilian Navy, working at the Marcílio Dias Naval Hospital, in the Hemotherapy Service and as a Member of the Patient Safety Nucleus, and is a Preceptor of the Nursing Residence at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Bianca Cristina Marques Gindre Laubert, Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro

Postgraduate nurse in Neonatal Nursing at Perinatal and in Occupational Nursing at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, she worked at Prevcenter in 2010, vaccination clinic and at the perinatal company as a nurse in the neonatal ICU. Resident at the Perinatal Neonatal ICU in 2011, and also a resident at the Perinatal Pediatric Cardiac ICU in the same year. Worked at Perinatal from 2011 to 2017. Currently Air Nurse (2017), acting as head of the Nursing subdivision of the Gerontological House of Aeronautca Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes. Composes the Commission for monitoring the process of acquiring and receiving health material, hospital doctors and medicines from the Gerontological House, Participated in the Management Commission for Revitalization and Restructuring of the Coexistence Center Program of CGABEG, Composes the Infection Control Commission Related to Health Care of this Gerontological House, Composes the Multidisciplinary Team of Nutritional Therapy of this Gerontological House, Composes the Management Committee of Sustainable Logistics of CGABEG.

Tamires Zêba Guimarães, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

Nurse graduated from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) (2015). Specialist in Clinical Medicine and Surgery by the Graduate Program in Nursing Residency Templates at UNIRIO (2018). Student of the Academic Master's in Nursing of the Graduate Program in Nursing (PPGEnf) at UNIRIO. Participating member of the Nursing Care and Experimentation Laboratory Research Group (UNIRIO). Associated with the Brazilian Nursing Association/Rio de Janeiro Section (ABEn/RJ) . She was a fellow of the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBIC) at UNIRIO in the research project "Therapeutic Workshops and Nursing: Training and care in mental health". She was a monitor of the discipline "Nursing in Attention in Psychiatry", at the EEAP of UNIRIO. She has technical training in surgical instrumentation from the Centro de Formação Profissional Gonzaga da Costa (2013), having completed an internship at the Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital / RJ.

Letícia Lima Borges, Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro

Nurse graduated from the Anna Nery School of Nursing (EEAN) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Specialist in Nephrology Nursing from Universidade Gama Filho. She is currently a student at the Graduate Program in Nursing-Academic Master's at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). Participating member of the Research Group Management, Teaching and Practices of Nursing Care linked to the Laboratory of Experimentation and Nursing Care - LCEE of UNIRIO. She has professional experience in neonatology and aerospace nursing, working mainly in aeromedical transport and physiological training for airmen of the Brazilian Air Force.
