Multifactorial analysis of domestic violence during pregnancy

Domestic violence during pregnancy is a public health problem that poses risks to the well-being of the pregnant woman and the baby. The objective was to identify in scientific publications the multifactors of domestic violence during pregnancy. Bibliometric study, with a quantitative approach, with search in BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE and SciELO databases, using the descriptors in Portuguese and English: Violence against women, Domestic violence and Pregnant women. 3685 articles were identified. After inclusion and exclusion criteria, 21 were selected to compose the sample. The presentation of the results was arranged in a descriptive and simple statistical way and presented in the form of tables. It was found that a high rate of psychological, physical and sexual violence, respectively, caused by unwanted pregnancy, young parents and without solid marital relationships. And as a consequence, the health of the pregnant woman and the baby is compromised. After analyzing the publications, several factors that influence domestic violence during pregnancy, the consequences and risk factors were identified; on the other hand, as a limitation of the study, the scarcity of studies on the topic for the health care of pregnant women was identified.
