In this prospection, the objective was to carry out a study on biological activities and technological applications already described for products from the Plumeria pudica plant, with special emphasis on the possible applications of these substances as antibacterial and antifungal agents. For this, information was obtained on scientific articles in the Scielo, Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science and PubMed databases, as well as on patent documents in the INPI, USPTO, EPO, WIPO and LATIPAT databases, using keywords and specific boolean operators, always used in the search field relative to the title, abstract and keywords of the study. Thus, it was found that in international databases of scientific articles, there are few published studies involving the species, as well as a relatively low number of patent documents. It is concluded that, in general, in the databases, both scientific production in articles and patent applications are scarce. This demonstrates that there are great opportunities for research involving the description of biological activities and technological applications of compounds from the species.
