The objective of this research paper is to analyze and revise the literature review of the diverse factors related to the Molar Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH). Methodology: The research was based on a bibliographical research using different database sites such as: Elsevier, Pubmed, Medline, Springerlink, SciELO, Scopus. The papers that were included had to be; published within the last 5 years, peer-reviewed, experimental studies, clinic cases, and articles that mention factors that agree with its etiology. Results: MIH is a tooth enamel's qualitative defect which is characterized by an alteration in the mineralization initial process. It permanently affects incisors and molars. Its multifactorial etiology has agents which are present in the different person's periods; antenatal, perinatal, and postnatal. Conclusion: After analyzing various papers, we can state that a sole cause cannot be determined as a responsible factor; however, some common ones are the inflammatory process and other previously-described agents such as: bisphenol A, stress, genetics, antibiotics, analgesics, among others. They produce a high concentration of toxins that modify the cells' microenvironment in charge of the tooth enamel's development.
