This work is an experience report obtained through the experience of dentistry students and specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI). The experiences acquired and reported in this work were achieved from the extension project linked to CPPEX / UFPI called Mutirão de Oral Minor Surgery (Third Molars and Supernumerary Teeth included). This activity aims to meet the great demand of patients with surgical needs in an outpatient dentition environment. It is believed that when reporting these experiences, we can contribute to an update and training of surgical practices considered to be complex, since similar situations are rarely dealt with during the course's curriculum, as they are not part of the undergraduate curriculum guidelines. In this way, the institution takes the knowledge developed in its spaces to the community and provides assistance to the population, whether through free assistance, clinic-school, guidance, among others. Just as communities give back by sharing the knowledge it holds and acting in defense of education. The project involved the participation of 18 members, including: 1 coordinating professor and 3 monitoring professors, 4 undergraduate students and 10 specialization students, all of whom are volunteers.
