Relación entre actividad física, COVID-19 y inmunidad: Una revisión de la literatura

Resumen

El objetivo de este estúdio se base em demostrar los efectos beneficiosos del ejercicio físico regular ante la pandemia de COVID-19. El artículo adoptó el modelo de revisión de la literatura, utilizando las bases de datos PUBMED y Google Scholar, utilizando las palabras clave “Infecciones por Coronavírus”; “Ejercicio” y “Condición física”. Se seleccionaron veinte artículos completos, em inglés y portugués, publicados desde 2019 hasta la actualidad. Se notó que, con el aislamiento social, la población se volvió más sedentária y adoptó hábitos de vida menos saludables, sin embargo, se notó que las inmunidades innatas y adaptativas se ven afectadas positivamente por el ejercicio físico, brindando mayor protección contra infecciones, incluyendo virus, como el Coronavirus. Estimular la función de las células inmunitarias, provocada por la práctica de ejercicios físicos regulares, neutraliza la ansiedad y la depresión, aumenta la elasticidad y la fuerza de los pulmones y también minimiza los factores de riesgo contra el virus. Así, se concluye que la actividad física puede prevenir la progressión de la contaminación por SARS-CoV-2, así como puede prevenir la progresión de la enfermedad a formas graves de afectación.
