Obesidad y Cáncer de mama: Algunas pruebas científicas y formas de interacción

Resumen

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar en la literatura el conocimiento actual sobre la relación entre la obesidad y el cáncer de mama. Esta es una revisión integradora realizada mediante la búsqueda de artículos originales relacionados con la obesidad y el cáncer de seno, publicados en los últimos cinco años e indexados a las bases de datos PubMed, Scopus y Web of Science. Del total recuperado, se incluyeron 5 artículos para lectura completa porque corresponden a los criterios de elegibilidad. Se observó que el 40% (n = 2) de los estudios señalaron la influencia de los aspectos metabólicos característicos de las obesas, en la etiología del cáncer de mama, así como el 20% (n = 1) de los estudios demostraron que los niveles alterados de adiponectina y leptina están asociados con la patogénesis de la neoplasia en cuestión. A pesar de esto, una cita no observó el efecto de la obesidad en el estado de los pacientes de quimioterapia. Se concluyó que la literatura señala la relación entre la obesidad y el cáncer de seno, aunque los estudios aún se consideran poco conocidos.
