Valores métricos e invariancia factorial de la medida de capital psicológico positivo en trabajadores brasileños y portugueses en unidades hospitalarias

Resumen

El capital psicológico son recursos internos positivos que impulsan a los trabajadores para hacer frente a las tareas laborales de manera eficiente. Sus estudios revelan su relevancia en el mantenimiento de la calidad de vida y salud mental del trabajador. Sin embargo son pocas las investigaciones que se dedican a comparar este constructo en diferentes contextos y perspectivas. Por esta razón, el presente artículo tiene como objetivo verificar y comparar cómo dos poblaciones cultural y geográficamente distintas usan su capital psicológico en las actividades laborales. Para lograr este objetivo se verificó la invariancia de la estructura de la escala PCQ-12 de capital psicológico en profesionales de la salud hospitalaria en Brasil y Portugal. El número total de encuestados es 434 trabajadores (Brasil n=212; Portugal n=222). Los resultados revelan que dicha escala fue tanto confiable, como invariable en su estructura factorial en los dos contextos muestrales. Se destaca que los portugueses presentaron puntuaciones más altas en los factores Autoeficacia, Optimismo y Esperanza. Esto puede indicar que las instituciones de salud lusitanas propician mayor apoyo organizacional que las instituciones de salud brasileñas. En general, es posible concluir que la escala PCQ-12 es un instrumento adecuado para estudios comparativos entre trabajadores de salud brasileños y portugueses, y que estes no poseen diferencias significativas en cuanto a los factores autoeficacia, esperanza, optimismo y resiliencia.
