Uso de fibrina rica en plaquetas inyectable asociada a injerto óseo xenógeno para promover la neoformación ósea en cirugía dental: una revisión integrativa

Resumen

El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar el uso de este biomaterial en cirugías dentales para promover la neoformación ósea. Con base en ello, se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica del tipo revisión integradora de literatura utilizando la clave de búsqueda ("Bone transplant" AND Platelet Rich Fibrin AND Injectable) OR ("Sticky Bone"), en las bases de datos Web of Science, Scopus, Pubmed y VHL, a partir de estudios publicados entre 2016 y 2021, excluyendo aquellos que utilizaron agregados plaquetarios distintos a i-PRF e injertos óseos autógenos o alogénicos. Los resultados mostraron que la Fibrina Rica en Plaquetas inyectable funciona con un activador biológico que aumenta la cantidad de factores de crecimiento y mejora la calidad del injerto xenogénico, y que la unión de estos biomateriales ha brindado éxito en la neoformación ósea en cirugías de diversas especialidades odontológicas. Siendo insertado en regiones de defectos óseos, áreas de elevación de seno maxilar, reabsorciones óseas de lesiones periapicales y como coadyuvante en el tratamiento de periodontitis. Ante esto, se pudo concluir que los trabajos actuales presentan resultados favorables para la aplicación de i-PRF asociado a xenoinjerto. Sin embargo, es necesario realizar más estudios sobre los beneficios de esta técnica, como ensayos clínicos, para demostrar su eficacia.
