Resumen

La asimetría facial puede resultar de numerosos tipos de enfermedades, tales como: traumatismos (edema, enfisema, hematomas) y procesos infecciosos graves que generan aumentos volumétricos en el rostro de forma rápida y notoria. Por otro lado, el desarrollo de quistes y tumores, cambios en el desarrollo/crecimiento tanto de tejidos duros como blandos, son procesos más lentos y consecuentemente percibidos cuando hay un cambio significativo. El osteocondroma (OC), una de las lesiones intraóseas, se puede definir como una protuberancia del cartílago óseo que surge de la superficie más externa del hueso afectado. El objetivo de este trabajo es describir una metodología de tratamiento compleja, pero estable y satisfactoria con buena estabilidad y resultados estético-funcionales satisfactorios. Discusión directamente relacionada con la modalidad terapéutica, costo-efectividad del tratamiento localizado en comparación con el tratamiento combinado, riesgos, beneficios y similares. Los resultados muestran imágenes que permiten verificar la precisión y aplicabilidad de la planificación virtual en la corrección de deformidades asociadas a la pericia de cirujanos con gran experiencia en tratamientos quirúrgicos, finalizando con un resultado satisfactorio para el paciente y el equipo.
