La ozonoterapia como aliada en el tratamiento estético en el rejuvenecimiento de la piel

Introducción: La ozonoterapia es una práctica milenaria, utilizada en el tratamiento de algunas enfermedades, pero desde hace algunos años, muchos especialistas están insertando la ozonoterapia en la estética. Objetivos: Realizar una revisión integradora de la literatura sobre la importancia de la ozonoterapia en el rejuvenecimiento de la piel. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión integradora en las bases de datos PUBMED, ISCO 3 y SCIELO, publicadas entre 2011 y 2021, utilizando algunos descriptores que involucran la ozonoterapia y la estética. Resultados: Encontramos un 50% (10/20) de ensayos clínicos que tratan sobre el poder del ozono y su mecanismo en la regeneración y cicatrización de tejidos en lesiones provocadas por diferentes naturalezas; y 50% (10/20) de artículos de revisión que abordaron: el uso de gas ozono para aumentar la circulación y la respuesta al estrés oxidativo; actividad bactericida y antifúngica; el papel fundamental en los tratamientos estéticos. Conclusión: En esta investigación se verificó que la ozonoterapia, tanto en modelos animales como humanos, tiene propiedades en disfunciones estéticas, como grasa localizada, estrías, hipercromasia, alopecia, flacidez y rejuvenecimiento de la piel, debido a su poder para combatir los radicales. proliferación celular, bio estimulación del colágeno, bio estimulación de fibroblastos y actividad antiinflamatoria, ayudando en el aspecto general de la piel del cuerpo y rostro, así como en la cicatrización.
