Controles alternativos en el manejo de la pudrición por Fusarium sp. en postcosecha de melón: una revisión

Resumen

El melón es una fruta de gran importancia económica en la región Nordeste de Brasil, muy afectada por enfermedades poscosecha, causadas por hongos quiescentes como el género Fusarium. La presente revisión tuvo como objetivo destacar diferentes alternativas de manejo en el manejo de enfermedades poscosecha como un aliado en la reducción del uso de agroquímicos. La revisión narrativa se desarrolló con producción científica indexada en las siguientes bases de datos electrónicas: Biblioteca Digital Brasileña de Tesis y Disertaciones (BDTD), CAPES y Google Scholar, utilizando las siguientes palabras clave: melón, control alternativo, poscosecha, Fusarium. El control de fitopatógenos en la poscosecha se realiza principalmente con agroquímicos que, debido a los requerimientos del mercado internacional, para la reducción o eliminación de residuos en los alimentos, se han buscado nuevas tecnologías que puedan minimizar la aplicación de compuestos sintéticos. Los controles alternativos como el térmico, los recubrimientos y la ozonización ya se utilizan comercialmente para el tratamiento de enfermedades poscosecha, en las que algunas en fase de estudio han demostrado ser eficientes y, en el futuro, se pueden realizar manejos conjuntos con el fin de maximizar la eficiencia en el control de enfermedades poscosecha.
