Evaluación de las técnicas de inserción de MTA en dientes preparados apicalmente simulando una formación radicular incompleta: un estudio in vitro

Resumen

La apexificación con MTA en rizogénesis incompleta permite la formación de la barrera apical de manera rápida y segura, sin embargo, existe dificultad en la inserción de conductos radiculares. En este estudio in vitro se evaluó comparativamente la eficacia del sellado apical en dientes humanos, cuando se utilizaron los dispositivos: portador de MTA, espiral Lentulo y cono de gutapercha. Se utilizaron 60 dientes anteriores extraídos, con longitudes entre 20 y 25 mm. La preparación de los conductos radiculares se realizó con fresas de Gates-Glidden, progresivamente, del número 1 al 4, y para la simulación de la divergencia apical se utilizó la fresa número 5, en forma retrógrada. La muestra se aleatorizó en 3 grupos (n=20) para realizar los tapones apicales. Grupo 1, Lentulo, grupo 2, porta-MTA y grupo 3, gutapercha #80. La calidad de las barreras apicales fue evaluada, a través de radiografías periapicales digitales. Se consideró una puntuación de 0 a 3, verificando la correspondencia del tapón apical con el ápice radiográfico, el relleno de los 4 mm apicales de la raíz y la ausencia de espacio entre el material y las paredes del conducto. Los resultados mostraron que no hubo diferencia significativa entre los grupos (p> 0,05) y los puntajes en orden descendente fueron: grupo 2 (48,3%), 1 (23,3%), 3 (18,4%) y 0 (10%). Se concluyó que no hubo diferencia en la efectividad del sellado apical en dientes humanos in vitro, simulando rizogénesis incompleta, cuando se comparó con la espiral de Lentulo, el portador de MTA y el cono de gutapercha.
