Prescripción de ejercicio físico y actividades cognitivas para sujetos con trastorno del espectro autista: Una revisión del alcance de los principales métodos

Resumen

Introducción: Los niños con Trastorno del Espectro Autista presentan una dificultad extrema en el control y desarrollo motor una vez que se ve afectado considerablemente hasta el punto de perjudicar en las actividades de la vida diaria. Objetivo: La investigación tuvo como objetivo verificar cuáles son las actividades motoras y cognitivas más utilizadas en las intervenciones dirigidas a niños con trastorno del espectro autista, así como las principales limitaciones señaladas por los autores en la identificación de estas actividades. Metodología: El presente estudio es una revisión del alcance de la literatura. La elección de los artículos se realizó definiendo una cadena de búsqueda estandarizada para todas las bases de datos. Las bases de datos utilizadas fueron ACM Digital Library, ScienceDirect, Google Academic, PePSIC-BVS, Web of Science, Scopus, National Library of Medicine y Taylor & Francis Online. Se incluyeron los artículos publicados entre enero de 2010 y diciembre de 2021. Resultados: Las principales actividades motrices y cognitivas de las que se informó en la literatura científica fueron: correr, caminar, actividades acuáticas, artes marciales y danza. Además, el entrenamiento en trampolín se señaló como una alternativa para trabajar la coordinación bilateral. Conclusión: En los estudios analizados se utilizan con mayor frecuencia las actividades aeróbicas individuales o las colectivas. Así, se señaló que este tipo de actividades son adecuadas para trabajar el desarrollo motor y cognitivo en niños con trastorno del espectro autista, sin embargo, es necesario tener en cuenta el grado de autismo y las particularidades psicosociales de los sujetos.
