Desarrollo de juegos serios para la rehabilitación neurológica de pacientes

Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo fue demostrar el desarrollo de una colección de exergames para la rehabilitación neurológica llamada Therapy Game and System (TGS). Al principio, se escribió un Documento de diseño del juego (GDD) sobre todos los detalles, desde la división de cada miembro del equipo hasta la mecánica del juego en sí. Para implementar todo el concepto del software se utilizó el motor de desarrollo de juegos electrónicos de distribución gratuita denominado UNITY 2018, que utiliza el lenguaje de programación C#, y con la ayuda del programa Photoshop 2020 se logró diseñar la maquetación gráfica. Para la jugabilidad, se utilizó el concepto de interfaz de usuario humano con el uso del dispositivo Makey Makey. Se elaboraron seis juegos divididos en dos colecciones de tres cada una. Ambos fueron registrados como programa informático en el NIPI. Se realizaron pruebas preliminares en las que los juegos demostraron ser funcionales, sin embargo, se deben realizar futuros ajustes gráficos y de juego. Es una tecnología de bajo costo y su desarrollo se basa en fundamentos científicos sobre el tema y refinamientos del propio software con el fin de brindar una experiencia agradable y efectiva a los pacientes.
