Uso de cannabinoides como perspectiva terapéutica para la psoriasis vulgar: una revisión integradora

Resumen

La psoriasis es una patología crónica de rápida proliferación en la piel, no es contagiosa y presenta signos de inflamación. En ella, el sistema inmunitario ataca las células de la dermis, por lo que se trata de una enfermedad autoinmune favoreciendo la aparición de lesiones descamativas, con presencia de eritema y formas irregulares. Considerando esto, esta revisión integrativa de la literatura tiene como objetivo comprender el uso de la planta Cannabis sativa como una perspectiva terapéutica para la psoriasis vulgar. Para ello, se realizó una búsqueda sobre el tema en las bases de datos Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), U.S. National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health (PubMed) y Academic Google, las reglas de inclusión fueron: texto disponible en su totalidad; artículos publicados en la última década, priorizando los más recientes; escrito en portugués, inglés o español y, finalmente, estar directamente relacionado con el objeto de estudio aquí presentado. Se encontró que los cannabinoides tienen un gran potencial en el tratamiento de la psoriasis, con su mecanismo de acción enfocado en las principales vías patogénicas de la enfermedad: queratogénesis, inflamación y angiogénesis, sin embargo los estudios son en su mayoría in vitro. Se necesitan más ensayos clínicos en humanos y estudios para aclarar la toxicidad, seguridad y eficacia de los cannabinoides en el tratamiento de la enfermedad en cuestión.
