Características de hombres y mujeres autores de violencia sexual: una revisión del alcance

Resumen

Considerando la violencia sexual como un problema de salud pública complejo, multifacético, endémico y poco denunciado, así como sus consecuencias para las víctimas y la sociedad, en este estudio nos fijamos en el autor de la violencia sexual para identificar sus características con base en la literatura nacional e internacional. Se utilizaron las bases de datos NCBI/PubMed, APA PsycInfo, CINAHL, Web of Science, Scopus y LILACS, incluyendo estudios sobre perpetradores de violencia sexual publicados en portugués, inglés y español, sin restricción de año de publicación o tipo metodológico. Se incluyeron 46 estudios en la revisión. Los resultados muestran el perfil del hombre y la mujer autor en relación al ciclo de vida, estado civil, educación, color de piel/etnia, trabajo, si sufrió violencia en la infancia, si consumió alcohol y drogas, así como conductas relacionadas con la violencia. Especial atención merecen los hombres y mujeres que cometen violencia sexual contra los niños en el ámbito familiar.
