Intervenciones farmacéuticas en oncología pediátrica: revisión integrativa de la literatura

Resumen

Esta revisión integrativa de la literatura tuvo como objetivo recopilar y analizar evidencias sobre las intervenciones farmacéuticas (IP) en oncología pediátrica y su aceptación por parte del equipo multidisciplinario de terapia antineoplásica. Las búsquedas se realizaron en PubMed, EMBASE y en el Portal Regional de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS), además, se realizaron búsquedas manuales complementarias en Google Scholar. Se incluyeron 24 estudios sin restricciones de idioma y fecha de publicación. Los IF más frecuentes fueron: dosis/ajuste de dosis, orientación farmacéutica, necesidad de tratamiento adicional, ajuste de la tasa de infusión y dilución, alternativa terapéutica más adecuada, evaluación de la efectividad del tratamiento, suspensión del fármaco, conciliación de medicamentos y cambio de terapia. Los fármacos anticancerígenos más implicados en la FI fueron etopósido y vincristina y como tratamiento de soporte: ondansetrón y sulfametoxazol+trimetoprima. La aceptabilidad del IF varió de 81 a 100%. Los resultados evidencian el papel del farmacéutico clínico en la prevención, identificación y resolución de problemas relacionados con medicamentos en oncología pediátrica.
