Prácticas integradoras y complementarias en el cuidado de los trabajadores de salud: una revisión de alcance

Resumen

El estrés se considera una epidemia mundial que afecta a más del 90% de la población, con consecuencias perjudiciales para la salud. Los trabajadores de la salud representan la mayoría de estos casos, lo que fue evidente durante la pandemia de Covid-19. En este contexto, la inversión en acciones para promover la salud de los trabajadores, como las Prácticas Integrativas y Complementarias de Salud (PICS), se convierten en herramientas poderosas para el cuidado y la mejora de la calidad de vida. Objetivo: Mapear en la literatura global el uso de PICS para el cuidado de los trabajadores de la salud. Métodos: La revisión del alcance se realizó con una búsqueda en fuentes de información de literatura científica, en el período de octubre a noviembre de 2021. El proceso de selección de los estudios fue realizado por dos revisores, de forma independiente. Los datos fueron recopilados por un revisor y verificados por otro. Resultados: De los 32 estudios incluidos, la mitad son revisiones sistemáticas. La mayoría de los estudios se realizaron en ámbitos hospitalarios y ambulatorios, principalmente con participantes de enfermería, y la práctica de atención plena presentó pruebas más consistentes. Conclusiones: Los hallazgos muestran que los PICS son herramientas poderosas para el cuidado de los trabajadores de la salud. Sin embargo, para ser eficaces deben ser compatibles con los horarios de trabajo.
